Miami nightlife is as diverse as the people who party there. At night, this city SIZZLES with excitement as hard working locals and sun burned tourists hit Miami's dance clubs where they show their moves and find their grooves. Insiders will tell you that MANSION NIGHTCLUB on Miami Beach is full of party people and dancers who groove under the disco ball. Name by People Magazine as one of Miami's hottest clubs, Mansion is great for people watching and other nighttime pursuits. One of the hottest Latin nightclubs in the Kendall area of Miami is Kaffee Krystal Nightclub. Dancers and music lovers appreciate El club nocturno Kaffe Krystal for its offering of diverse music. Another club in Miami worth the price of admission is the Sunset Lounge. Nestled in the Mondrian Hotel in South Beach, the Sunset Lounge hosts a party like no other. And the party usually doesn't start at the Sunset Lounge Club until well after midnight.
Musical styles in Miami nightclubs come in all tempos, downbeats, and languages. From Urban hip-hop to Cuban jazz, there is never a dearth of great music for club-goers to dance to. Professor Jack Fizzlewit, an imaginary professor of dance music, studies the musical sounds of Miami nightlife. His recent research is included below.
Professor Fizzlewit's TOP FIVE MIAMI DANCE CLUB TUNES:
1. Nightclub Nights - The Janzen Hip Hop Club Boys
2. I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) - Pitbull
3. Turn my Swag On - Soulja Boy
4. Do the Stanky Leg - G-Spot Boyz
5. LoveGame - by the one and only Lady Gaga
Miami nightlife is about exploring new music, new drinks, and meeting new people. Cocktails play a big role in this city by the ocean and finding a good bartender will go a long way in making your night a big success. Any mixologist worth his salt will tell you the secret to a good cocktail is ice. That, and good liquor. Never buy the cheap stuff when it comes to cocktails, especially in Miami. Always request top shelf liquor and tip your bartender with generosity and gratitude. A favorite drink of Miami's nightlife crowd is the Old Cuban. When ordering this drink, a professional mixologist is recommended, but if you find yourself in a daring mode, follow these steps for a delicious Old Cuban cocktail: Take 7 gently bruised mint leaves and add 1 ounce of simple syrup. Add 3/4 ounces of freshly squeezed lime juice and add 1 1/2 ounces of rum and a dash or two of Angostura bitters. Fill shaker with ice and add ingredients; shake for 10-12 seconds. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and sip sporadically. Sufficiently fortified, get back on the dance floor and shake your groove thing all night long.
